The top graph shows web traffic to and from my web server (ports 80 and 443). Most of the time, outbound traffic is much higher than inbound. Occasionally there's a chunk of inbound traffic, usually due to me updating packages on my web server from remote repositories. You can click on the y-axis to toggle between linear and logarithmic scales.
The bottom graph shows round-trip times, which represent the time between sending an SYN ACK and receiving an ACK of the SYN ACK during the TCP connection handshake with my web server. Since I have local monitoring of my web server from hosts connected via 10 gigabit ethernet, most of the data here isn't clearly visible since the round trip times for the monitoring are sub-millisecond. If you click on the y-axis to get a logarithmic scale, you'll be able to see this data more clearly.
